About McKaig Nature Education Center

The McKaig Nature Education Center is 89 acres of unspoiled woods with several hiking trails and 2 creeks in the heart of suburbia.

The preserve also is home to, and maintains, the Old Robert's Schoolhouse, adjacent to the current Robert's Elementary School. Fitting, as the preserve aims to be an ongoing resource for nature education for the surrounding community. McKaig continues to be a native-species wonder to local researchers, area wildlife aficionado and local organizations throughout the year. And, of course, McKaig provides a natural respite to residents and visitors who want to explore the wood, trails, streams and all that McKaig Nature Center has to offer!
